While I like most of the content, I don’t think the definition of climate is accurate. Climate is not just the weather over an extended period of time, and stating this builds on a misconception about what exactly climate is. Climate is determined by temperature and rainfall, Yuma’s desert climate is a measure of the low amount of rainfall and the warm temperatures. This is in contrast to tropical rainforest, which is also warm and sunny, but experiences more rain. There are several different climate zones and each one is defined by average rainfall and average temperature.
